Columbia Beach is bordered by the Chesapeake Bay to the east, the community Cedarhurst to the north, Franklin Point to the south and Flagg Pond to the west.  It is one of several beach communities on the Shady Side, Maryland, peninsula.  It is approximately 12 miles south of Annapolis and 30 miles from Baltimore and Washington.  It is a stable community with about 200 single family homes.

Columbia Beach is a strictly private community providing opportunities for boating, fishing or lazy promenading along the quiet streets.  There is a community pier and ramp for launching small boats.  There is also a regulation size basketball court and a playground area for toddlers.  To the west of Columbia Beach is a wildlife sanctuary known as Flagg Pond.  Here one can view deer, large birds, geese and other wildlife in a natural setting.

Columbia Beach is a proud community with over 60 years of quiet, conservative living for those who enjoy the serenity and beauty of the Chesapeake Bay.  Please take a few minutes to explore our website and our community and see why we truly are the "Gem of the Bay."
